Well it’s that time of year again. The winter has passed, the days are becoming longer and it’s time to give your home a deep cleaning to start the spring. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get ready for some serious house cleaning. Here are a few hacks for the common things around your home.
Windows: Get a spray bottle, fill it with 1 tablespoon dish soap and the rest with water. Spray down your windows and use a brush or cloth to wipe down the dirt. This should take you 2 minutes per window.
Oven: The oven is one of the hardest things to clean in your home, but not anymore. Simply heat your oven to 150F and boil a pot of water. Turn off the oven after reaching 150F and put the boiling pot of water on the bottom rack. On the top rack pour 1 cup of ammonia into a baking dish and set on top rack. Leave it overnight and watch how easily the grease wipes off in the morning.
Bathroom: Let’s face it, no one wants to clean the bathroom. Here are a few tips to help make it easier for you during your spring cleaning. Using natural cleaning products such as a halved lemon to wipe down bathtub tiles, using salt as an abrasive and vinegar as a cleaning solution will keep your bathroom clean and your family safe from harmful chemicals.
